Kazakh, Russian scientists prepared draft Global Energy and Environmental Strategy
ASTANA. May 4. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "Kazakh and Russian scientists have jointly elaborated the draft Global Energy and Environmental Strategy," president of the Kazakh National Academy of Natural Sciences Nurtai Abykayev told delivering a report at the panel session on "Formation of the global energy and ecological strategy for the World Sustainable Development Summit "Rio-2012" in 2012" of the IV Astana Economic Forum at the Independence Palace.
"As is known, the Kazakh President addressing the 62nd session of the UNGA on September 25, 2007 suggested developing a Global Energy and Environmental Strategy and to discus it at the World Sustainable Development Summit "Rio-2012" in 2012. In 2009 Nursultan Nazarbayev published a monograph "Strategy of global community radical renovation and partnership of civilizations". It contains the tasks and goals of the Global Energy and Environmental Strategy, and its formation background.
Abykayev proposed to discuss the draft Global Energy and Environmental Strategy.
