Kazakh Prosecutor General and Charge d' affaires of the US discussed the fight against transnat'l crime
ASTANA. October 30. KAZINFORM - In Astana a meeting took place between Attorney General Ashat Daulbaev and Charge d' Affaires of the United States of America to the Republic of Kazakhstan John Ordway, says the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Welcoming the guest, Mr.Daulbaev congratulated Mr.Ordway on re-appointment and wished him success in diplomacy, noting that the experience gained by the diplomat in Kazakhstan and other CIS countries would give a further impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest. The parties expressed satisfaction with the level of interaction, discussed the prospects of further cooperation in the framework of the previously endorsed agreements. They have also discussed a wide range of topics, including the fight against transnational crime, terrorism and extremism.
The Attorney General also highlighted the main aspects of monitoring and advocacy of the prosecution in Kazakhstan , stressing that the protection of human rights is the focus of attention of prosecutors.
The two sides reaffirmed their interest in further expanding and strengthening the areas of interaction .
