Kazakh professor visited Bar-Ilan University
TEL AVIV. March 29. KAZINFORM On March 25 head of the Political Science Department, professor of Kazakh National University Gulnar Nasimova visited Israel.
She was invited by the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Israel.
During her visit professor Nasimova held talks with head of the Moshe Dayan Center at the Tel Aviv University Uzi Rabi to discuss possible ways of cooperation between the two universities.
The main purpose of her visit was to deliver a lecture on "Kazakhstan. Socio-economic policies and the religious factor" at the Bar Ilan University. Students warmly received the professor, many came up and thanked her for very interesting information about Kazakhstan. "I have never thought that Israel has such an interesting partner in the Islamic world, able to find common ground with both the East and West", said one the students.
This visit was aimed at establishing academic links between the two countries. In 2010 Israeli students were propsed to write academic works about Kazakhstan. The best of them received prizes and were published in an academic book, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy to Israel said.
