Kazakh President visits new building of Presidential Archives in Astana
The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, visited the new building of the Archives of the President of Kazakhstan in Astana, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.
The archives in the Kazakh capital are the first in Central Asia to keep the documentary heritage of Kazakhstan and serve as an educational, and scientific-methodological center. The archives were relocated from Almaty to Astana according to the President’s task.
The specialized building consists of archival depositaries, laboratory facilities, an interactive exposition hall, a reading room, work rooms, and administrative areas. 24 archival depositaries are designed to keep documents, audiovisual records, microfilmed insurance documentation funds and e-documents.
As earlier reported, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan attended the City of Trade Jobs festival held at the EXPO site with the support of the Kazakh Enlightenment Ministry and other relevant agencies on Thursday.
