Kazakh President to visit Romania next year
ASTANA. August 28. KAZINFORM In 2013, the President of Kazakhstan will visit Romania, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Kazakhstan Nikolai Ureki said today after presenting his credentials to President Nursultan Nazarbayev at Akorda.
"We have excellent bilateral relations. The visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Romania next year will facilitate their development. Kazakhstan is one of the most important investors in Romania," N.Ureki told a briefing after presenting his credentials.
During the ceremony, the Kazakh leader noted that Kazakhstan attached great importance to the development of comprehensive cooperation with Romania.
"Your country is the leading trade partner of Kazakhstan in Central and Eastern Europe. Mutual trade turnover for the last year reached two and a half billion dollars. Acquisition of 100% stake in "Rompetrol" Holding by JSC "KazMunaiGas" is the largest investment project of Kazakhstan in the European Union. The geographical position of our country offers great opportunities for the development of transport and transit cooperation," the head of state emphasized.
