Kazakh President to unveil Zhezkazgan-Beineu, Arkalyk-Shubarkol railroads

Construction of the large-scale transport project started in June 2012. 1,200 km long railroads, housing for workers and maintenance staff, necessary infrastructure were built at large. The new railway lines will let significantly cut load distance from west to east and north to south of the country and expand transit capacities of Kazakhstan. The new railroads will also substantially increase transport potential of trans-Kazakhstan transport corridors running from China to Russia and further to Europe.
