Kazakh President to control house construction without parking lots
ASTANA. April 22. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed to verify the facts of issuance of licenses for construction of residential complexes without parking places in the capital at today's enlarged meeting on further development of Astana city.
According to the Kazakh leader, for the last three years half of many-storeyed houses have been built in Almaty district of the Kazakh capital. This district is heavily populated. "Adjacent streets and courtyards are overfilled with vehicles. People feel uncomfortable," he said.
Only 3.5 thousand parking places have been built for 41 thousand flats. This comes from Akimats that issues licenses for construction without parking places.
"I instruct the General Prosecutor's Office to check the information," President Nazarbayev concluded.
