Kazakh President signs decree on resignation of Government
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed a decree "On the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan", according to Akorda Twitter account.
In accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 70 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Government has resigned its powers to the newly elected President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the norms of the Constitution, after holding consultations with the political parties represented in the Majilis of the Parliament, the President would nominate a candidate of the prime minister for consideration of the Majilis. Recall that April 2, 2014 President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev issued a decree appointing the Karim Massimov Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. It should be noted that Karim Massimov has previously headed the Cabinet - from 2007 to 2012. 6 August 20145 the President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the enlarged government meeting in Akorda announced the reorganization of the Government. There have been created five new ministries. Thus, the new structure of the Government consists of 12 ministries and 30 committees.
