Kazakh President sends reply letters to kids ahead of New Year
Traditionally, the New Year trees of wishes are planted with children leaving envelopes with their wishes in all the regions of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.
This year, as part of the campaign a large number of letters from all the corners of the country, including over 100 from children from many-children families, children left without parental care and with disabilities, and orphans, have been addressed to the Kazakh President.
The children shared their dreams asking for bicycles, the dombra, computers, trips to summer camps, or even to the capital to see the Presidential Residence - Akorda.
Replying to the children's letters, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated them on the New Year and sent gifts.
The Kazakh Head of State encouraged all the kids to strive for knowledge, read books, do sports, take care of nature, and do good.
