Kazakh President's visit to China to enhance strategic partnership - Hu Jintao

BEIJING. May 23. KAZINFORM Newly appointed Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China Nurlan Yermekbayev presented credentials to China's Chairman Hu Jintao, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in China reported.

The Chinese leader warmly welcomed the Ambassador of Kazakhstan and congratulated him on assuming office and wished success in the promotion of the Kazakh-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

The Kazakh Ambassador conveyed Hu Jintao greetings on behalf of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

According to N. Yermekbayev, successful multilateral cooperation between Astana and Beijing became possible due to the efforts of the heads of the two states. A range of large investment projects was implemented during the recent 10 years, commodity turnover increased up to USD 25 billion.

Hu Jintao thanked N.Yermekbayev for the greetings on behalf of the Kazakh President. According to him, Kazakh and Chinese people have established strong friendship for 20 years of bilateral relations. Active mutual contacts on all levels, strengthening political trust, and enhancing cooperation in the energy, humanitarian and cultural fields confirm that.

The Chinese leader said that Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev accepted his invitation to visit China in early June 2012 as well as to take part in the meeting of the SCO Heads of State. He said he looks forward to meet the Kazakh leader to discuss topical international and regional issues of mutual interest.

Hu Jintao expressed confidence that the Kazakh President's visit will stimulate Kazakh - Chinese relations development and help improve all-round strategic partnership.
