Assets worth over KZT 1 trillion recovered in Kazakhstan since 2022

The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, received chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Kazakhstan Askhat Zhumagali, Kazinform News Agency refers to the Akorda press service.

Zhumagali reported on the anti-corruption measures in Kazakhstan. He said since 2022 property assets and monetary means worth 1 trillion 90 billion tenge were recovered to the Government and quasi-public sector. 153.3 billion tenge was transferred to the infrastructure support fund. Over 50 schools were built, and 30 more will be constructed using the recovered assets.

He also reported on international cooperation, personnel policy and policy-making process. 

Zhumagali briefed on measures to eliminate corruption factors promoting multi-billion embezzlements from the teachers’ salary budget.

Following the meeting, the Head of State gave tasks to continue the fight against corruption.

Next year it plans to return 235 billion tenge more. An agreement and a decision on the development of investment and social projects worth 28 billion tenge were already approved.
