Kazakh President received Education and Science Minister

The Minister told the President about the progress of realization of the State Program on Education Development for 2011-2020; the presidential press service told Kazinform.

As Zhumagulov said at a briefing for journalists, the President set specific goals on strengthening work on the program "Balapan", improving the quality of education at all levels, including secondary, vocational and higher education. "In secondary education, first of all, it is necessary to raise the level of teacher training. In higher education we need to prepare teachers of the new formation," he noted.

The Minister conveyed the gratitude to Nursultan Nazabayev from Kazakhstani teachers for the raise in teachers' salaries from July 1.
