Kazakh President praises Pakistan’s role in U.S.-Iran peace agreement

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a letter to Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, Qazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif on the successful conclusion of diplomatic efforts that led to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the US and Iran.

The President highly valued the constructive role of Pakistan in facilitating this historic peace deal, noting the visionary leadership of Shehbaz Sharif and his consistent commitment to the principles of peaceful settlement.

The Head of State believes that the agreements reached have particular significance for ensuring longstanding stability in the Middle East and the international community as a whole.

He expressed confidence that Pakistan will continue to contribute to regional security, enhancing interstate trust.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to further strengthen its multifaceted cooperation with Pakistan and wished Shehbaz Sharif every success in his responsible state duties.

Earlier, it was reported the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran had been signed by the leaders of the two countries, Masoud Pezeshkian and Donald Trump.
