Kazakh President launches construction of inland port

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has launched construction of an inland port in the Khrogos East Gates Special Economic Zone as part of a teleconference on Wednesday.
"This port is a cornerstone of Kazakhstan's logistics. Goods from China and Pacific region will be shipped via Kazakhstan to Europe. It will reduce the time of inland container shipping and have a huge impact on Kazakhstan," President Nazarbayev said of the new project.
