Kazakh President invites UN Sec Gen to take part in OSCE Summit
ASTANA. September 20. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev has extended an invitation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to partake in the OSCE Summit.
"Informing the Secretary General on preparation for the upcoming OSCE Summit in Astana in December, K.Saudabayev extended him the invitation of President N.Nazarbayev to attend this Forum as a head of the largest international organization in the world", Kazakh MFA's official representative Askar Abdrakhmanov has announced it at a briefing today.
According to him, touching upon Kazakhstan's cooperation with the UN, Ban Ki-moon noted importance of holding events dedicated to the International Day against Nuclear Tests.
