Kazakh President forbids top officials to celebrate New Year abroad

ASTANA. December 26. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev bans all vacations in foreign countries to the senior staff of the Government, ministries and departments, and all akimats on New Year's and other public holidays.
"They (holidays) should be celebrated in the country, with your people. This concerns not only the upcoming New Year, but also all national and public holidays," Nazarbayev emphasized during Monday meeting with the management of the Presidential Administration, Government, Nur Otan Party.
The Head of the State noted that every minister in this period is personally responsible for the state and operation of his industry.
