Kazakh President considers it's possible to establish SCO energy society
TASHKENT. June 11. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev considers that it is possible to establish an energy society within the framework of the SCO. He has made it public at the extended session of the SCO Summit today.
As N. Nazarbayev noted, the economic cooperation is one the main directions of the SCO activity; it needs active work of all corresponding ministries and departments as well as special working groups for realization of the Action Plan to the Program of SCO Trade Economic Cooperation.
"Taking into account the affect of the world energy deficit upon the energy future of our states I think that the SCO has all the constituents for establishing an energy society aimed at harmonizing the interests of the producers, transporters and consumers of energy resources", N. Nazarbayev emphasized.
The President named the transport infrastructure development as one of the important directions as well. "Kazakhstan actively develops the transcontinental auto transport communications and suggests accelerating the coordination of the agreement between the SCO governments on creation of favorable conditions for international auto transportations", N. Nazarbayev added.
