Kazakh President awarded Peace and Preventive Diplomacy Prize

WASHINGTON-ASTANA. April 14. KAZINFORM President Nursultan Nazarbayev was awarded the Peace and Preventive Diplomacy Prize established by the EastWest Institute.

As the President's press service informs, the EastWest Institute was founded in 1980 for overcoming negative consequences of the 'cold war' in international relations, easing tensions in Euro-Atlantic region and promotion of values of civil society.

The Peace and Preventive Diplomacy Prize of the EastWest Institute is one of the most prestigious awards in the United States and is given to political and state figures of various states for special achievements in the field of state management and construction of secure world.

OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut delivered a speech at the awarding ceremony and congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on the award.
