Kazakh President awarded Gold Badge of International Cycling Union
ASTANA. July 28. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with President of the International Cycling Union Pat McQuaid, the press service of the Kazakh President informed.
Pat McQuiad noted the cycle race track "Saryarka" constructed on the Kazakh President’s instruction in Astana is a unique modern sport facility, which has successfully hosted the first stage of World Cup in 2011.
Pat McQuaid presented to Nursultan Nazarbayev a Gold Badge of Honor of the International Cycling Union, and expressed gratitude for his contribution to the development of cycling in the world and support for Kazakhstan's cycling team "Astana Pro Team".
In addition, the sides agreed to hold the Asian Championships on the road and track in 2014 and the World Junior Championship in 2015 in Astana.
