Kazakh President: Adoption of the draft strategy of SCO development until 2025 will determine prospects for strengthening of the organization
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the meeting of the Heads of the SCO member-states in the extended format, the press service of Akorda reported.
Speaking at the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the adoption of the Strategy for the development of the SCO until 2025 has set clear targets and prospects for further strengthening of the organization. In particular, it is necessary to approve the procedure for granting the status of the SCO member-state and the Memorandum of commitment of the applicant state.
Kazakh President congratulated the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the upcoming chairmanship in the SCO and wished the Russian side fruitful activity.
After the meeting, the heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member-states have signed the following documents:
1 Dushanbe Declaration of heads of the SCO member-states.
2 Decision of the Council of Heads of the SCO member-states on the model of Memorandum of commitment of the applicant state.
3 Decision of the Council of Heads of the SCO member-states for granting the status of a SCO member.
4 Decision of the Council of Heads of the SCO member-states on the draft strategy of the SCO development until 2025.
5 Decision of the Council of Heads of the SCO member-states regarding the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the victory over the fascism during the World War II.
6 Decision of the Council of Heads of the SCO member-states on termination of the decisions made by the Council of Heads of states - members of the SCO.
7 Decision of the Council of Heads of the SCO member-states approving the rules of markings of the SCO.
8 Decision of the Council of Heads of the SCO member-states approving the report of the Secretary-General of the SCO on the work of the organization in the past year.
9 Decision of the Council of Heads of the SCO member-states approving the report of the Council of the SCO Regional Antiterrorist Structure and activities of the RATS in 2013.
An agreement on Facilitation of International Road Transport was signed too.
