Kazakh President acquainted with designs of Astana buildings

ASTANA. April 7. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has familiarized with the projects submitted to the competition for the best design idea for the Opera and Ballet Theater, the Fund and Library of the First President and the Mosque.
According to Director of the Astana Architecture and Construction Department Sarsembek Zhunussov, the level of projects is good. The results will be known at the end of April. The judges of a contest including well-known English architect Norman Foster will hold a selection of projects.
In whole 56 works were submitted for the competition. Some of them are authored by designers from Malaysia, Spain, the USA and Belgium.
