The parties discussed the issues of interaction between he supreme financial supervision agencies of the two states. S. Stepashin informed K. Massimov of the planned joint measures on combating corruption. They exchanged opinions on the results of the meetings of Kazakh and Russian prime ministers as well as some issues of the Kazakh-Russian joint action program on the Customs Union creation. According to Mr. Stepashin, in the crisis the Customs Union is a very important step to support economy and industry in Kazakhstan and Russia. The sides noted high level of bilateral relations between the Kazakh and Russian financial supervision bodies.
