Today the airport operates 23 flights a week. Last year it conveyed 76,000 passengers. As the plan until 2020 finds, the number of passengers should rise to 250,000. Today the airport can provide services only to 150 passengers an hour failing thus to meet the modern requirements. The same time it has no international status that's why the locals fly via the Astana and Almaty airports. According to the socioeconomic development plan, the tourist cluster will prosper further by 2020 to welcome EXPO 2017 guests.
