Kazakh PM Serik Akhmetov to visit Germany, meet Angela Merkel
ASTANA. October 24. KAZINFORM Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov will make a working trip to the Federal Republic of Germany on 24-25 October on the instruction of President Nazarbayev.
During the trip the head of the Kazakh Government is expected to meet with Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and Vice Chancellor, Federal Minister of Economics and Technology Philipp Rösler, according to the Presidential press service. The sides are to discuss a wide range of issues related to development of the bilateral relations in the sphere of commercial and economic cooperation, modernization of Kazakhstan's economy and industrialization.
Kazakh Premier will meet with reps of Germany's business elite in order to touch upon the problems of the Kazakh-German cooperation in the industrial sector, investment and financial spheres.
Serik Akhmetov will meet with Eckhard Cordes, Chairman of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, and participate in the celebratory events dated to the 60th anniversary of the Committee.
