Kazakh PM considers Canada and Australia as role models in informatization and communication sector development
ASTANA. January 14. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov have called to strive to be equal with Canada and Australia in the issue of development of the domestic sector of informatization and communication.
K.Massimov has announced it at the enlarged session of the Agency for Informatization and Communications on Thursday, January 14.
"If we will compare the status of internet and telecommunications development in our country with more developed countries, such states like Australia and Canada should serve as a model", he noted.
According to him, these two countries are alike in territory and population size as well as economy's structure.
"If we compare ourselves with them, of course, we should do a lot. I think that planning for the future and 2010, it is necessary to consider such countries as a model", the Premier emphasized.
K.Massimov gave positive evaluation of the Agency's activity in 2009. "Despite the difficult year of 2009, all main instructions you have faced were executed", he resumed.
