Kazakh PM Akhmetov resigns
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has expressed hope that the current Government composition will remain the same after his resignation.
"In accordance with the Constitutional Law on the Government the Head of State today has accepted my resignation. I want, in my personal capacity and on behalf of the Government, to express gratitude to President Nursultan Nazarbayev for given faith. I want to report that, in accordance with the law "On the Government" the resignation of the Prime Minister shall entail termination of powers of the entire Cabinet, it will remain in office until a new Cabinet has been appointed. I would like to thank you for working with us, and I wish success to all, I hope that our Government structure will continue to work in the best interests of our country", said the Prime Minister at a Cabinet meeting.
