Kazakh Ombudsman meets Belgian Ambassador
ANA. January 19. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Commissioner on Human Rights Askar Shakirov has met with Ambassador of Belgium Daniel Bertrand; the press service of the Kazakh Ombudsman's Office informs.
The diplomat got acquainted with main directions of the activity of the national human rights institution, practice of interaction of the state bodies and civil sector in implementation of international human rights documents, lawmaking and propaganda of legal knowledge.
The Ambassador's attention is paid to the state activity in the sphere of ensuring human rights in the context of implementation of Kazakhstan Concept of Legal Policy for 2010-2020 and National Human Rights Action Plan for 2009-2012.
The sides expressed common opinion that Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE will give additional impulse to this Organization.
