Kazakh National Bank to reduce refinancing rate from Jun 4

ASTANA. June 3. KAZINFORM The National Bank of Kazakhstan will reduce the refinancing rate from 6.5% to 6%starting from June 4, the press service of the Bank reported on June 1.
"Due to the slowing trend of the annual inflation, as well as existing conditions of the financial market, the board of the National Bank of Kazakhstan decided to establish the official refinancing rate of the National Bank of Kazakhstan at the level of 6.0% per annum starting from June 4, 2012," the report reads. According to the press service, the last change to the official refinancing rate was made on April 2, 2012, when it was reduced from 7.0% to 6.5% per annum.
