Kazakh National Bank's gold and foreign currency reserves up in first half of 2014

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakh National Bank's gold and foreign currency reserves increased by 9.2 percent or by $2.3 billion in the first half of 2014, the bank reported on August 1.

"Dynamics in foreign currency reserves of Kazakh National Bank is positive," the bank said.

In July the foreign exchange reserves increased by 2 percent or by more than $ 0.5 billion and hit $27 billion as of the end of the first half of 2014, the statement read. Tenge exchange rate was 182.08 tenge per $1 on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange during the morning session on August 1, Trend reports.
