Kazakh modern art showcased in Cannes

BRUSSELS. KAZINFORM - An exhibition of modern Kazakhstani artists was unveiled at the Espace Miramar in Cannes, Kazinform correspondent reports.

The exposition tells about modern art in Kazakhstan and includes works by Gulfairus Ismailova, Marat Bekeyev, Andrey Noda and sculptor Eduard Kazaryan. Initiated by MPL and Ismet funds and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan the project was warmly welcomed by French public. "Kazakhstan presented in Cannes as a young, dynamic and developing country. The exhibition is called to demonstrate its achievements in the sphere of fine arts," mayor of Cannes David Lisnard said. Mr. Lisnard added that he is a fan of Kazakhstani fine art and didn't rule out the possibility of holding the exhibition on the Cote d'-Azur again.
