Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science interested in opening of Kazakh schools in Russia: Z.Tuimebayev

ASTANA. April 21. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ "The Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science is interested in opening of Kazakh schools in Russia", Head of the Ministry Zhanseit Tuimebayev has said today at the briefing.
According to him, Kazakhstan intends to discuss this issues at the I CIS Congress of Teachers and Education Workers that will be held in Astana on April 26-27.
The Minister reminded that over one million of our compatriots are living in Russia to date who are provided annually with the Kazakh textbooks, methodical materials etc by the Ministry. He stressed that there are no Kazakh schools in Russia yet, but some educational institutions organize additional after-school classes and elective courses in the Kazakh language.
