Kazakh Minister of Internal Affairs, Head of OSCE Center in Astana met

The participants of the meeting complimented the high level of cooperation and interaction between the Kazakh Ministry and the OSCE Center, defined further measures on its development. In particular, the participants discussed the current cooperation, including the issues of holding of the Regional Conference on the issues of struggle against the organized crime on June 1, 2009 in Astana and the initiatives of the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs on studying the criteria of estimation of the police activity and experience in provision of the public order in the European countries. The issues of protection of the constitutional rights and interests of people from criminal assaults, struggle against organized crime, drugs trafficking, illegal migration and human trafficking were discussed as well. The sides shared opinions on the national initiatives, aimed at organization of the public control over the police activity, cooperation in this sphere with all interested authorities, political parties, NGOs.
