Kazakh Minister of Environmental Protection N. Ashimov: Kazakhstan aims at developing environmental cooperation between Asia and Europe
ASTANA. September 27. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ The 6th Ministerial Conference on Environment and Development in Asia and the Pacific took place at the Independence Palace in Astana. The topic to discuss was the Astana Initiative 'Green Bridge'.
Minister of Environmental Protection Nurgali Ashimov noted that the initiatives of Kazakhstan aimed at processes of ensuring environmental security and developing of environmental cooperation between countries of Asian, Pacific and European regions.
'Green Bridge' is aimed at adjusting technologies and capitals going to Asian countries from Europe to climate changes and reducing the number of questions that might emerge', the Minister said.
The goal of the conference is to develop measures and experience exchange in the sphere of harmonization of economics of Asian Pacific countries to the issues of preserving environmental stability.
