Kazakh Minister of Defense visited Dushanbe, Tajikistan

ASTANA. May 28. KAZINFORM Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Danial Akhmetov has paid a working visit to Dushanbe, capital city of Tajikistan.
As the press service of the Defense Ministry informs, D. Akhmetov met with President of the country Emomali Rahmon, Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament M. Ubaidullayev and Minister of Defense Sherali Khairulloyev. The agenda of the visit included discussion of the issues of training the personnel and military-technical cooperation.
?The military servants of the Kazakhstan Army have recently participated in Joint command-staff antiterrorist exercises Norak-Antiterror-2009. We have agreed that the military subdivisions of the Tajik army would take part in the exercises in Kazakhstan?, D. Akhmetov noted.
Training of military personnel in Kazakhstan was in spotlight of the Ministers of Defense of both countries.
?We will exert every effort to make our relations in education closer and stronger?, the Kazakh Minister stressed.
The Minister also visited the Military Institute of the Tajik ministry of Defense. During the visit the parties agreed on a visit of the Tajik military delegation to our military institutions in the nearest time.
