Kazakh Minister met with large French business delegation
ASTANA. February 16. KAZINFORM Kazakh Industry and Trade Minister Asset Issekeshev met today with a large French business delegation which participated in the Kazakh-French Business Council, the Ministry's press service said.
70 businessmen, representing 50 French companies, expressed interest in industrial cooperation with Kazakhstan. Kazakh Ambassador to France Nurlan Danenov attended the meeting too.
According to the Minister, Kazakhstan is interested in further transfer of technologies and attracting of French partners to the country's innovation reforms. The most promising are the projects in the sphere of energy saving, electric power supply industry, electronics, engineering, chemical industry, digital technologies, geology and tourism.
The parties debated implementation of 22 joint projects. 6 of them worth USD 375 mln have already been put into operation. Another 17 to the amount of USD 11 bln are being implemented.
Besides, the parties focused on new projects of industrial and technologic interest for Kazakhstan.
The heads of the leading French companies expressed great interest in the priorities of Kazakhstan's economic development highlighting great prospects for further long-term cooperation based on consistent and stable development of the country.
