Kazakh MFA hopes for sooner release of Kazakhstanis detained in Turkmenistan

ASTANA. November 13. KAZINFORM "An issue on release of the Kazakh citizens detained in Turkmenistan will be solved positively in good neighborly relations between the two countries," official representative of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs Altai Abibullayev told.
On October 19, the Turkmen border guards detained seven citizens of Kazakhstan for illegal border crossing.
According to A. Abibullayev, the Kazakh Embassy representative met with those detained in order to get familiarized with their general state at the detention center.
"The Turkmen side is expected to adopt a court decision in the near future," Abibullayev added.
