Kazakh Majilis Chairman, Turkish deputy stand for further expansion of interparliamentary ties

ASTANA. May 19. KAZINFORM Kazakh Majilis Chairman Ural Mukhamedzhanov and deputy of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey – Chairman of ?Turkey – Kazakhstan? cooperation group Mehmet Çiçek have spoken for further expansion of interparliamentary ties.

The parties emphasized that the important significance has the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries initiated by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, activity of the TURKSOI and other parliamentary organizations. The Kazakh side backed the Turkish plans on accession to the EU, Kazinorm refers to the Majilis?s press service. As the parliamentarians noted, deputy groups of cooperation, which should promote strengthening integration in economy, culture and other spheres, play the big role. Creation of a transport corridor between the two states was named as one of the priorities. The trade turnover increase, training programs development in the education sphere and other projects prove the fruitful cooperation. The meeting was held within the framework of an international scientific conference ?Modern Kazakhstan and ?Path to Europe?, which is provided by the Majilis. The Turkish parliamentarian will take part in it. Majilisman ? head of ?Kazakhstan-Turkey? friendship group Valikhan Konurbayev took part in the meeting.
