Kazakh-Lithuanian cooperation in agriculture discussed in Astana

Issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture, in particular, in dairy cattle husbandry and livestock breeding, veterinary, production of dairy products, trade with agricultural products between the countries were discussed at the meeting. Both sides are interested in the experience exchange in the field of veterinary and agricultural science. Besides, the sides agreed on joint development of fishing industry. The Kazakh Minister noted that establishment of dairy-commercial farms is scheduled within the complex program of the development of the Kazakh agro-industrial complex. ?Kazakhstan is ready to consider any commerce proposals from the Lithuanian side?, the Minister stressed. Kazys Starkevicius proposed joint development of boienergy, diary technologies and reprocessing of poultry meat and fish. A.Kurishbayev expressed assurance to consider these proposals.
