Kazakh-Lithuanian Business Forum held in Almaty
ATY. September 16. KAZINFORM. /Serik Koibagarov/ Kazakh-Lithuanian Business Forum titled "Lithuania - window to Northern Europe: opportunities and prospects for Kazakhstan's business" has taken place in Almaty today.
The forum was held within the framework of the Lithuanian Economy Minister Dainius Kreivys's visit to Kazakhstan and 5th sitting of the Kazakh-Lithuanian Intergovernmental Commission for trade-economic cooperation.
Making a welcome address Executive Secretary of Kazakh Foreign Affairs Ministry, Co-Chair of the Intergovernmental Commission Rapil Zhoshybayev highly appraised the results of the Commission's 5th sitting. He expressed hope for successful realization of the reached agreements, establishment of new contacts and start of new projects. "We are ready to render all-round support in it", he added.
Mr. Kreivys emphasized the high level of bilateral relations and significant role of Kazakhstan in Central Asia. According to him, the business forum will promote trade-economic relations between the two states.
In whole 36 Lithuanian companies took part in the event. The forum was finished with the bilateral meetings of representatives of Kazakh and Lithuanian companies.
