Kazakh Leader suggests transforming CICA into organization

ASTANA. September 12. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev put forward an idea of transforming the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia into the organization prior to its IV summit at the CICA jubilee session on Wednesday in Astana.
"The conference has everything what it takes to be transformed into the organization. I hope that by the IV CICA Summit we will be ready to establish the organization. Head of CICA Secretariat should be transformed into secretary general," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In addition, the Kazakh Leader stressed it was necessary to continue developing interaction between CICA and OSCE.
