Kazakh Justice Minister speaks for amnesty of convicted persons this year

ASTANA. January 16. KAZINFORM. /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakh Justice Minister Rashid Tusupbekov considers it is necessary to declare amnesty of convicted persons this year. He made it public at the board meeting of the Ministry on Saturday, January 16, in Astana.
According to him, the amnesty will have a significant social effect, enable to cut expenditures for the maintenance of convicts and resolve the situation with prisons overcrowding.
