Kazakh judokas win at the start of Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2024

Kazakh judokas Magzhan Shamshadin and Dauren Suyukenov won their first fights at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2024 in the UAE, Kazinform News Agency learned from the National Olympic Committee.
The tournament kicked off on October 11. Both athletes compete in the men’s 60kg.
Magzhan Shamshadin who started competing in the second round, defeated Georgian judoka Nika Khuzaurashvili ahead of schedule. His next rival will be announced later.
Dauren Suyukenov beat Moldovan Alexandru Tirsina to face Balabay Aghayev from Azerbaijan in the next round.
Earlier, Kazinform reported that Kazakhstan will host the World Judo Championships in 2027.
