Kazakh judokas shine at European Cup
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Young Kazakhstani judokas have won three gold medals at the European Cup in Hradnek, Czech Republic, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
Athletes from more than 30 countries participated in the event that was held on November 13-17. Zhanbolat Omar from Karaganda region beat judokas from the Czech Republic, Austria and Azerbaijan to clinch gold. Nodir Turgunov from South Kazakhstan region and Zhubatkan Sungat from Mangystau region clinched silver and bronze in -60kg category respectively. Zhanbolat Bekberbenov from Aktobe region hauled bronze in 66kg category, whereas Yerkebulan Abdulla from South Kazakhstan region won silver in +90kg category. Two gold medals were collected by Ishkhan Serdanyan (50kg category) from Almaty and Kamila Berlinash (+70kg category) from Taldykorgan.
