"After recent adjustment of national currency, measures have been taken to keep the inflation development within the government's target corridor both at republican and local levels. Kazakhstan's inflation rate has reached 4.5% over the past five months. We believe that we will keep it in the target corridor of 6-8% this year," he said at the Tuesday press conference at the KazMedia Center in Astana. Minister Dossayev also noted that regional authorities and administrations can use stabilization funds of food products at their discretion in order to prevent shortage of food commodities.
