Kazakh Government to make decision on ?Yuzhpolimetall?

SHYMKENT. February 12. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ Kazakh Minister of Industry and Trade Vladimir Shkolnik has arrived in Shymkent today. He headed the working group which must propose a plan to solve the problem of the Shymkent Lead Plant, Kazinform correspondent reports.
?Yuzhpolimetall? JSC was forced to stop production and sent its employees on leave without pay 1.5 month ago. The state owes ?Yushpolimetall? KZT 408 mln. The working group will visit all enterprises of ?Yuzhpolimetall?: the lead plant in Kentau and Achisay deposit. The top executives of the plant has developed the anti-crisis plan and these visits will help the working group to conclude whether this plan is relevant.
?Yuzhpolimetall? JSC is entirely private enterprise focused on production of lead and its derivatives ? bismuth, precious metal alloys and other production. 1 946 people work at the plant from whom 1 079 are on a forced leave without pay. The working group will develop its proposals to address the problem of the plant and forward them for the Government?s consideration.
