Kazakh government maintains GDP forecast in 2013

ASTANA. November 23. KAZINFORM The Kazakh government maintains a six percent GDP forecast in 2013, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported today.

Such a statement was made by Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov at the fifth Economic Forum of Big Business "Expert-200-Kazakhstan."

"We expect six percent GDP growth in 2013, almost all sectors except mining will grow, inflation will reach up to six percent," Akhmetov said.

Earlier, the Kazakh Economy and Budget Planning Ministry forecasted annual GDP growth at 6-7.1 percent in 2014-2018, Kazinform has learnt from trend.az.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) earlier forecasted that Kazakhstan's economy would grow by 5.6 percent in 2013 and 5.5 percent in 2014.
