Kazakh Government invests in modernization of customs posts on southern borders

ASTANA. February 10. KAZINFORM. The Government allocated substantial funds for equipment and modernization of customs posts. In accordance with the plan, new equipment for the customs posts on the borders with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will be purchased in 2010 and 2011.

For instance, KZT 1.9 billion was invested in equipment for the customs points of Zhambyl region. The money will be spent to purchase an inspection complex for scanning cars and analogous equipment for scanning railroad transport, an automated system for delivery of goods, an electronic checkpoint, a SCAN-passenger machine and an X-ray machine.

KZT 3.96 billion was allocated for the customs posts of South Kazakhstan region.
