Kazakh Government elaborates State Program of Languages Development for 2011-2020
ASTANA. May 28. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The Kazakh Government elaborates the State Program of Languages Development for the nearest decade. Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva has said it to journalists at the national scientific conference "The language. The nation and independence" dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Kazakh Constitution on Friday, May 28.
"Interacting with other state bodies and public, today the Ministry elaborates a draft Program of Languages Development for 2011-2020. In the future it will be presented, published in press and introduced to the public", she informed.
According to her, the program will include solutions of such issues like improvement of a methodological framework for studying the state language, textbooks, teaching process.
The conference is held in Astana and organized by the Languages Committee of the Ministry of Culture. Over 120 scientists, deputies of the Kazakh Parliament, heads of territorial administrations of languages development, representatives of public organizations take part in it.
"The issues of the state language development, its functions expansion in various fields of public relations, socio-cultural life of the country and etc are under discussion", Z.Kurmangaliyeva emphasized.
