Kazakh Gov't must submit new project of coop with private sector on infrastructure development - EBRD
ASTANA. May 22. KAZINFORM The Government of Kazakhstan must submit a new project of cooperation with the private sector in the field of infrastructure development, Vice President of European Bank of Reconstruction and Development Olivier Descamps told the V Astana Economic Forum on Tuesday.
When it comes to attract new foreign investment, there are always three or four questions that a potential investor will ask the EBRD, and we, in turn, will ask the Government. Namely, customs, high levels of corruption, lack of technical skills, and lack of interaction between large, medium and small businesses," Olivier Descamps said.
According to him, it is necessary to develop infrastructure for the industry in Kazakhstan and attract private capital to this work, correctly using the mechanisms of public-private partnership.
