He said Kazakhstan hopes for the start of the negotiations on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. "A move towards an agreement is a good trend and we support it", the Kazakh FM said.

He said President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev from the very beginning stated the necessity to solve the conflict through diplomatic negotiations.

In turn, Péter Szijjártó said they debated today the war in Ukraine in detail. "Our countries suffered from great damage as a result of the war. That’s why the countries are interested in the end of the war and achieving a peace agreement as soon as possible. The new U.S. President and his policy standing on the side of peace will give us such an opportunity. Hungary hails the high-level dialogue between Russia and the U.S.", he noted.

As written before, President of Hungary Tamás Sulyok will pay a visit to Kazakhstan in 2025.
